• Weekend working is required so flexibility with availability is a must
• 40 hours, full time working 5 out of 7 days
• Our shifts fall between 6am and 6.15pm
The Role:
Deli Team Leader
We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our fast paced Deli with opportunity to progress into a Supervisor.
The role is action – packed and hands on where you will be expected to directly manage the daily running of our Deli which includes local cheeses, our own brand cold meats, locally famous salad bar, sandwiches, and to-go salad boxes as well as our busy hot counter.
This role is based in our newly refurbished Cumbrian Foodhall, Ullswater Road, Penrith, CA11 7EH.

Key Tasks
• Ensuring he Deli team provides friendly and approachable customer service
• Making sure all counters are well stocked up, with all products available and rotated accordingly
• Organise daily tasks and give direction to the Deli Team
• Work with wider business to promote new products
• Ordering products for the Deli taking account of current stock, any offers and past sales figures
• Ensure stock rotation is carried every day.
• Paperwork is kept up to date
Pay
• Dependent on past experience, the pay for this position is between £12.50 and £13.20
Requirements:
Job Requirements and Experience
• Background working in customer service
• Due to the nature of this job we are looking for individuals aged 18+
• Past experience working in a busy and time pressured environment
• Knowledge or willingness to learn Food Preparation in line with Food Safety Standards
• Exposure and experience of supervising others
• Strong written/spoken English and Maths skills
• IT knowledge – working with our ordering system and Microsoft applications.
We are open to applicants that don’t meet every requirement or experience and can offer further support and internal training for a candidate willing to learn.
