COVID-19 statement

COVID-19 statement

We are fully committed to protecting our staff and our customers when visiting our shops, and remaining open throughout the COVID-19 outbreak.

As a food business we already operate high hygiene standards. All our sites hold a 5 /5 hygiene rating.

We continue to work closely with our local environmental health authority, following their advice
and introducing additional measures when advised.

The local nature of our meat, bread and milk supplies and the fact we make a lot of our products in house means we anticipate being able to maintain strong availability on our core ranges.

Unless we hit severe staff shortages it is our intention to keep all branches open and maintain
our normal opening hours.

Those wishing to avoid busy periods for health reasons please note that we
typically experience lower footfall in the first and last hour of trading.

Café Oswald’s at the Cumbrian Food Hall is now closed until further notice

This is a rapidly changing situation and it is our intention to keep you up to date with any changes,
on the website and here on our social media channels.

Cranstons will do everything it can to serve you well throughout the current crisis.

We hope that this is reassuring at this worrying time.

Social distancing.

We wanted to let you know what we are doing to keep you and our staff safe when visiting our shops:

Cranstons  are now allowing a maximum of only 10 shoppers at any one time in our four Food Hall’s  and a maximum of 3 shoppers at any one time at our two traditional shops

Cranstons are asking shoppers to shop alone rather than groups as per the government guidelines.

Once in the shop we have tape on the floor marking a 6ft separation and tape lines in front of our counters guiding you the safe distance to stay from our staff.

All our Food Hall or shop doors are either controlled electronically or left open so you do not need to touch any handles to enter or leave.

All our card payment machines are set up to take contactless payments

As a food business we have always operated high hygiene standards and robust cleaning schedules and we will continue to do so.
