Chef Andy’s Crispy Beef Poutine (Posh, Chips, Cheese & Gravy)
- 200g Cranstons Beef Mince
- 2 Tsp Cumin
- Pinch of Salt
- Pinch of Pepper
- Applewood Smoked Cheddar
- Thick Cut Chips
- 2 x Spring Onions
Make your own gravy to your preferred taste – like what we did… or for an easy alternative, Baytree Caramelised Onion Gravy is the one!
Make your gravy and leave to stand, if using pre-made, leave to heat until later
Mix 2 teaspoons of cumin and a pinch of salt and pepper with 200g of beef mince
In a non-stick frying pan dry fry the mince until crispy
Whilst the mince is crisping, fry the thick cut chips, or oven bake as necessary or per packet instructions.
In a pan, heat through the gravy for 4-5minutes or until piping hot.
Grate the Applewood cheddar, the amount? Up to you! And finely slice the spring onions
In a bowl, add your chips, top with mince, sprinkle on the cheese, pour over your desired amount of gravy and garnish with spring onions
