All the flavours of bygone Cumberland. A tasty combination of apples and dates spiced with ginger and mace, and sweetened with demerera sugar – all ingredients traditionally imported into Cumbrian ports in the 18th century.  A favourite accompaniment to a Ploughman’s lunch.

Claire’s Handmade is a small Cumbrian jam and chutney producer based near the northern marketing town of Wigton. Claire loves spending time in her kitchen developing new recipes and working with delicious ingredients and flavours to make her award winning preserves.
