Butcher helps ‘beef up’ Carlisle Youth Zone support
As announced earlier this year, we are proud to have a charity partnership with Carlisle Youth Zone. Martin Jones, our MD, recently visited the charity to present a donation cheque for £4350 in support of their vital works.
Martin ‘’Carlisle Youth Zone are a fantastic charity offering much needed support to the young people of Carlisle. It was great to visit the building and see the facilities they have, including a fully equipped gym, music room, access to astro turf pitch and kitchen to provide hot meals.’’
Lyn Marriott, CYZ’s Mentor Coordinator said “On behalf of all members of Carlisle Youth Zone, we thank you for your donation. The money will go towards our work to make a positive difference to the lives of our young people.’’
Carlisle Youth Zone is a safe place for young people aged 7-25, they offer a wide range of activities that encourage young people to have fun, try new things, work effectively alone or as part or as part of a team and to achieve things they didn’t think possible.
Lyn, ‘’Carlisle Youth zone helps to raise young people’s aspirations, boost their confidence and self-esteem and help keep them on positive paths.’’
Since opening in 2011, CYZ have helped 12,600 young people along the way to realising their full potential.
Carlisle Youth Zone is one of 4 charities we are supporting this year with ‘share of profits’ donations. We have also made donations this year to Tynedale Hospice at Home, Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland and The Pride of Cumbria II air ambulance.
