Cranstons and Carlisle Youth Zone

Recently Mark Mallinson, our Area Manager, and Jo Taylor, our Marketing Coordinator, had the incredible opportunity to visit Carlisle Youth Zone (CYZ), one of Cranstons four partnered charities. Mark and Jo presented a share of profits cheque to Emma Rogerson (Development Manager), Craig Neill (Junior Youth Club Team Leader), and Heather Swainson (Business Support & Reception Worker), and got to see first-hand the impact our donations are making.
Carlisle Youth Zone is a vibrant, youth-led centre, dedicated to providing young people in Carlisle with a safe and supportive environment. They offer a wide range of activities, including sports, arts, and personal development programs, aimed at fostering skills, confidence, and social connections. By engaging local youth through various initiatives, CYZ helps them build a positive future, develop their talents, and create lasting friendships, all while encouraging a sense of community and belonging.
Jo Taylor said “As we arrived at CYZ, the vibrant atmosphere was immediately palpable. The facility buzzed with energy, filled with young people engaged in a variety of activities. It was heartening to see how the funds we donated are being utilized to provide invaluable resources and opportunities for the youth of Carlisle.”
Mark Mallinson, our Area Retail Manager at Cranstons, reflected on the significance of our collaboration, stating, “Supporting Carlisle Youth Zone is not just about donating funds; it’s about investing in the future of our community. We believe that every young person deserves a place where they can thrive and develop their skills.”
Emma, a representative from CYZ, shared her thoughts on the partnership: “We are incredibly grateful for Cranstons’ support, along with support from lots of other local businesses. These local business contributions not only help us maintain our programs but also inspire our young people to reach for their goals. Together, we’re making a difference in their lives.”
Cranstons supports four regional charities with annual share of profits donations. Along with Carlisle Youth Zone, Cranstons supports the Great North Air Ambulance, Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, and Tynedale Hospice at Home.
