We’re delighted to have been named a finalist in the Makers and Producers Award at this year’s Cumbria Tourism Awards, alongside fellow Penrith business The Toffee Shop, and Pennington’s Spirits, Kendal.

The award recognises businesses that make an outstanding contribution to Cumbria’s visitor economy through the products they create and the experiences they offer, and we’re incredibly proud to be recognised.

Being shortlisted is a fantastic achievement in itself, and it’s made even more special by sharing the honour with another much-loved Penrith business. Together, Cranstons and The Toffee Shop have been serving customers for more than 220 years. The Toffee Shop has been delighting visitors with its famous handmade toffee since 1910, while we’ve been proudly championing quality meat and local food since 1914, with generations of locals and visitors returning for our signature Cumberland Sausage.

The Makers and Producers Award celebrates businesses that champion local products, craftsmanship and quality, helping strengthen Cumbria’s reputation as one of the UK’s leading food and drink destinations.

The winners of the Cumbria Tourism Awards will be announced at a celebration evening at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal on Wednesday 8 July.
