19th April 2023

Despite the rainy weather, Cranstons Butchers proudly showed their support for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) last week when Managing Director Martin Jones presented Mieke Tennant a cheque for £3150 to the Great North Air Ambulance.

Martin said “We are delighted to once again offer our support to the Pride of Cumbria II Air Ambulance. The amazing team at Langwathby deliver such a vital service providing critical care and transportation for patients in need across our region. This latest ‘share of profits’ donation reflects Cranstons real commitment to give back to the communities we serve. It’s great for our customers to know that when they spend at Cranstons a proportion of the profits we make go to our regional charity partners’’

GNAAS is one of 4 charities Cranstons are supporting this year with ‘share of profits’ donations. Cheques have also been presented to Tynedale Hospice at Home, Carlisle Youth Zone and Hospice at Home, Carlisle and North Lakeland.

Mieke Tennant, community fundraiser for GNAAS, said: “We are very grateful for the ongoing support from Cranstons and are delighted they have chosen our charity to receive another share of their profits. We rely entirely on donations and need to raise nearly £8m a year to remain operational, so this money will help our team continue to provide care to those in need across the region.”
