Cranstons Hexham proud to support Tynedale Hospice

Cranstons Hexham recently donated £2,009 to Tynedale Hospice at Home; one of our four charity partners – as part of our latest ‘share of profits’ donation. Each year, we donate a portion of our profits to support four incredible local charities doing vital work in our communities.
Tynedale Hospice at Home provides essential care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses, and to their families. Their Hospice at Home nurses care for people in the place they feel most at ease: their own homes. Alongside this expert, compassionate care, the team also supports family members both before and after bereavement – offering time, space, and kindness during incredibly difficult moments.
The work they do is funded entirely by donations, and we’re honoured to play a small part in helping that care continue. Through shopping with us, our customers directly support this incredible charity – so we’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you.
Cathy Bates, Fundraising Manager at Tynedale Hospice at Home, said:
“Thank you to Cranston butchers and makers for their generous financial support of our Hospice at Home care services. This contribution plays a vital role in enabling us to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to individuals and families within our community during their most vulnerable times. The commitment shown by Cranston’s butchers and makers reflects a profound dedication to the wellbeing of others and helps ensure that dignified end-of-life care remains accessible to all who need it. Together, we are making a meaningful difference in our community.”
As a company proudly connected to the local communities we serve, we’re committed to supporting causes that make a real difference. Tynedale Hospice at Home is one of our four annual charity partners, alongside Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, Carlisle Youth Zone, and the Great North Air Ambulance. Over the years, we’ve raised funds, donated raffle prizes, and welcomed charity collections into our food halls and butchers’ shops – all to support these incredible organisations.
Peter Potts, Cranstons’ Senior Retail Area Manager, said:
“We’ve been incredibly moved by the work Tynedale Hospice at Home does. It’s not easy to talk about end-of-life care, but what they offer – kindness, understanding, and presence – is something truly special. We’re very grateful to be able to support them – and we’d like to thank our customers, too. Their continued support makes donations like this possible.”
