Cranstons team raises £2939 for Hospice at Home!

7th October 2021

On the 11th September a 9 strong team of walkers from Cranstons completed a gruelling 22.9 mile sponsored walk in aid of Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland.

Thanks to the efforts of Chris, Sam, Naomi, Janice, Ann, Amanda, Caroline, Hannah, Victoria we are delighted to announce a final donation to the Hospice of £2939

The Hospice’s ‘Step up to the Plate’ challenge involved over a hundred walkers from all over Cumbria and further afield. The route followed Hadrian’s wall from Greenhead back to Carlisle City centre. Walkers sampled local food and drink along the route including Cranstons dinky pork pies as we donated one for each of the 150 walkers taking part.

Naomi Morgan, Cranstons Product Developer who took part in the walk said ‘It was such a beautiful day, the 22.9 mile route was gruelling and my legs were sore towards the end but I loved every minute of it.  The work of the Hospice is vital to the communities Cranstons serve and they have really struggled to raise funds over the last 18 months with their shops closing during lockdowns and events being cancelled. It was wonderful that myself and my colleagues could contribute to this much needed fundraising event’

We would like to extend our gratitude to all those who sponsored team Cranstons, our suppliers and the walkers friends and family were all hugely generous.  Hospice at Home Carlisle means so much to us at Cranstons we are always blown away by the support given when we fundraise for this wonderful charity. Huge thank you to those who contributed.

Once again Chris, Sam, Naomi, Janice, Ann, Amanda, Caroline, Hannah, Victoria – amazing job, we are so proud of you!
