Cranstons thrilled to support Carlisle Youth Zone

5th January 2024

We showed our ongoing support for Carlisle Youth Zone with another share of profits donation last week. Carlisle Food Hall Manager, Mark Mallinson, presented Emma Rogerson, Development Coordinator for Carlisle Youth Zone with a cheque for £3150.

Cranstons are dedicated to being a positive force within the community, supporting causes that make a difference in the lives of local people. Carlisle Youth Zone is one of 4 charity partners who received a share of profits donation in 2023 from Cranstons Tynedale Hospice at Home, The Great North Air Ambulance and Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland also received Cranstons share of profits cheques this year.

Mark Mallinson said “Carlise Youth Zone provides an essential service to the young people in the area. We are ecstatic to be able to provide this donation to help ensure they can continue that fantastic work they do.”

Emma Rogerson said: “On the surface Carlisle Youth Zone is just a fancy building, a place that delivers a wide range of fun activities to young people. But for some young people, it’s a completely different experience. We work with a number of vulnerable young people, with stories that break your heart. Here they can access so me much-needed support from a remarkable team of youth workers, mentors and volunteers. It’s because of donations like this from Cranstons that we are able to provide a safe place for them to grow and shine.

The Youth Zone provides a safe meeting place for young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. It is open 6 night a week and during school holidays we run our successful Holiday Club
