Café Oswald’s, the much-loved eatery nestled above our Cumbrian Food Hall, is proud to mark 15 years of providing exceptional food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere to the local community. Since opening its doors in 2009, the café has become a cornerstone of our ethos, championing local food and quality produce. It has created a space where both locals and visitors can come together to enjoy delicious, freshly prepared dishes.
Over the past 15 years, Café Oswald’s has built a strong reputation for its locally inspired menu, crafted using the finest ingredients sourced from trusted regional suppliers. From hearty breakfasts to comforting lunches and tempting sweet treats, every dish reflects the café’s dedication to quality and freshness. In 2023 alone, the café served over 15,000 full English breakfasts, a testament to the enduring popularity of its offerings. Customers return time and time again for the warm hospitality that defines the Café Oswald’s experience.

In 2021, the café underwent a significant renovation, refreshing its interiors to create an even more welcoming and contemporary space for diners. From introducing seasonal specials to ensuring every visit feels special, the café has consistently strived to exceed expectations, making it a beloved destination within the local community.

In addition to its menu and hospitality, Café Oswald’s also takes pride in its in-house bakery, which was introduced during the 2021 renovation. The bakery now supplies the cakes served at the café, enhancing the quality and freshness of its sweet offerings.
