NEW Car Park collection service

3rd April 2020

The team has been working hard behind the scenes to get our new click and collect service up and running and we are pleased to say it is now live! Visit the click and collect shop and place an order today.

The click and car park collection service has been launched for those who are self-isolating so they don’t have to physically shop. Customers can browse the products online, pay securely and select a car park collection slot. On the collection day they simply pull up and open their boot and the shopping is placed in it.

Available to purchase online is a range of Cranstons most popular butchery and deli lines from Cumberland sausages, bacon and chicken to pies and salads; fruit and vegetable boxes; and essentials from the company’s local suppliers including Lakes Free Range Eggs, North Lakes Dairy and fresh fish from Fyne Fish. The minimum order is just £30.

Jane Silburn, Marketing and Retail Development Manager said: “The social distancing measures Cranstons have in place should allow customer who aren’t deemed in ‘at risk’ groups to visit our shops with confidence. For those more vulnerable customers the click and collect offers a simple easy to use no contact way to access our produce. The local nature of our food business means we have maintained excellent product availability and we are delighted to be working with our local dairy, bakery and egg supplier to offer non meat essentials too. The fresh fruit and vegetable boxes are the most popular click and collect items since launch and we are looking expand the ranges with more meat items and deli items, dry goods and sweet treat essentials due to be added next week’’

For those who are not isolating, Cranstons four food halls and two high street butchers shops remain open as normal with stringent social distancing measures in place to ensure the safety of staff and customers.  Customer numbers have been restricted, screens have been installed in the till areas, one way customer flow systems are in operation and the floors have been marked up to highlight safe queuing distances. As a food producer and retailer Cranstons have always operated high hygiene standard and robust cleaning schedules and continue to do so.

Philip Cranston said ‘I am tremendously grateful to our brilliant production and shop teams who have worked so hard to keep serve our communities so far in this crisis, working in difficult circumstances, their commitment as key workers has been amazing’
