Outstanding Contribution Award from Cumbria Life

23rd April 2019

Philip and Roger Cranston were surprised and humbled to pick up a special award for their ‘Outstanding contribution to Cumbria’s Food and Drink industry’ at the 2019 Cumbria Life Food and Drink Awards.

The judges praised the contribution Cranstons made promoting regional excellence, the employment we offer throughout Cumbria and the marketplace we have created for Cumbrian Goods.

Philip said ”This award is very much an award for everyone in the company and I’d like to personally thank the whole Cranstons team for the hard work they put in on a daily basis. We are very lucky to have a dedicated and in many cases long serving team doing the hard graft of producing and retailing day in day out”

The event at Kendal college recognised the brilliance of Cumbria’s food and drink scene and several of our Cumbrian  suppliers picked up awards too including Tim and Luke at Lakeland Mues.

Cranstons were especially pleased to see Jane Hassell-McCosh recognised for her on-going success with the World Marmalade Festival at Dalemain, Jane has raised huge sums for Hospice at Home (Cranstons company charity) in the 13 years since she established the festival and the competition now draws entries from all over the world.
