How easy and secure is it to order?

Ordering from Cranstons on-line is very simple and quick. Simply select the products you wish to order and add them to your basket, when your finished shopping you will need to checkout and pay.

Ordering from Cranstons is very secure. We use an internationally recognised third party payment provider – Sage Pay to ensure all our customers have complete peace of mind.

 

Where can Cranstons deliver?

Cranstons can deliver to most parts of the mainland UK.

Unfortunately we cannot currently deliver outside the UK or to the following locations: Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Scottish Offshore, Isles of Scilly and Isle of Wight.

Some areas of the Highlands are also non delivery exclusion zones due to carriage taking more than 1 day: AB30,33,34,35,36, AB37-38, AB42-45, AB53-56, KW1-14, IV21-28, IV52-54, PA34 – 40, PH30-41, PH49 – 50, KW1-14, PA36

What will home delivery cost?

Cranstons standard delivery charges are as follows**

Carriage for goods with a value of £50-£99.99 will be charged at £10

Carriage for goods with a value £100-£149.99 will be charged at £5

Carriage for goods with a value over £150 will be Free of Charge

Please note that a minimum order of £50 applies

If your order contains only a Cranstons Gift Voucher pack and no other products you will not be charged for shipping.

** Which UK postcodes incur delivery surcharges?

The following Highlands and Island’s postcodes incur an additional £5 delivery charge (Cranstons pay the courier £5 more to reach these remote areas): AB10-16, AB21-25,AB39 AB41, AB51 – 52, IV1-20, IV30-37, IV63, PH15-26, PA21- 33, FK17-21

The following codes in central London incur an additional £1 delivery charge (our couriers pay charge us a London ULEZ/ Congestion charge for these postcodes): EC1-4. SW1, NW1, WC1, WC2, W1 and SE1

When will I receive my delivery?

To ensure you receive the freshest meat possible Cranstons only deliver on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Our courier will deliver the goods between 8am and 6pm. If you are out, the courier will leave the goods in the place you specify when you place the order (with a designated neighbour/ in the porch/ in the shed etc) and post a card through your door explaining where the goods have been left.

How will the product be delivered?

Cranstons use a tried and tested national courier APC overnight  All our meat is expertly packaged in specialist insulated packaging to ensure that it stays a fresh as possible on its journey to you.

The individual packs are surrounded with refrigerant pads and packed into a strong highly insulated shipping box (double wall corrugated cardboard and specialist insulated liner).

 

What shelf life will the product arrive with?

Each product is individually labelled with a use by date. We guarantee all products will arrive with at least 3 days shelf life. Please refer to individual pack labels for details.

 

Can I freeze the product?

Cranstons meat can be safely frozen. If you freeze your meat on arrival the pack use by date becomes irrelevant. As a general rule, we would recommend that your freeze our bacon and sausage for a maximum of 3 months, and our fresh meat for a maximum of 6 months. After this period, although still safe to eat the flavour begins to deteriorate.
